CosMeet 2026: Shimmering Sapphire ran on October 24 and 25, 2026 at Cove Manila, Okada Manila, in Parañaque City. On the Sunday, Arkaneia was on the floor with a camera, a stack of challenge cards, and a sign with a QR code on it.
It was one stunt doing three jobs at once: a content shoot, an open scouting session, and a brand awareness run. Here is how it worked.
The challenge cards
The game was simple. Draw a card, do what it says, on camera, with a prize on the line. Some cards asked for a dance. Some asked for a song. One asked for a scream that would not be out of place in a shounen anime. Cosplayers in full kit went for it anyway, wigs and all.
That is the content half. Every take goes into short-form edits for Instagram and TikTok over the next few weeks, so if you played, keep an eye out.
Scouting in plain sight
The cards were not random. Each one maps to something our auditions ask for: can you sing, can you move, can you hold a crowd, can you improvise when the moment turns on you. A convention floor is a loud, bright, unforgiving stage, and anyone who can land a bit there can land one on a stream.
So while it looked like a game, it was also round zero of a casting call. We watched, we took notes, and we handed out the link.
The sign
Arkaneia started on a show floor, at ESGS 2019, so taking the brand back to one felt right. The QR code on the sign goes to the auditions page, and the pitch is the same one we give everywhere: we are a Philippine VTuber agency casting performers who are 18 or older and able to sing and hold a stage. Fixed pay plus revenue share, idol training, equipment provided.
What happens next
Round 1 of auditions opens on November 2, 2026 and closes on December 16, 2026. It is a short form and two clips, and you can read the full brief on the auditions page.
